I Met a Man

I met a Superintendent who told me he was weak; I told him he was more than a conqueror.

I met a Superintendent who told me he lived in a shed; I told him his home was a castle.

I met a Superintendent who told me he was poor; I told him he was a king.

I met a Superintendent who told me he worked too much; I told him he lived in paradise.

I met a Superintendent who told me he was unlucky; I told him he walked in good fortune.

I met a Superintendent who told me he was dumb; I told him his brilliance shined like a star.

I met a Superintendent who told me he was old; I gave him a blanket to keep warm. (12/3/22)
